A new highlight from blowUP media's sustainability portfolio has been shining on a house facade in Berlin's trendy Schöneberg district since November: The Green - a 140 square meter Vertical Garden® at Kleistpark with an embedded Giant Poster. The evergreen, permanently installed vertical city garden made up of 12,000 different plants offsets around 1,150 kilograms of CO₂ every year. The green facade ensures an improved microclimate, is a habitat for bees and insects and makes Berlin a bit greener. Located in the intersection area in the direction of Potsdamer Platz and the Schöneberg motorway junction, around 60,000 people pass through the Vertical Garden® every day.
The Green offers a variety of components that are already part of blowUP media's sustainability portfolio: The 100 square meter Giant Poster is printed on PVC-free Green Line material and is climate-neutral. For even more positive impact, The Green is provided with the air-purifying coating "The Pure" as standard: An anti-smog coating of the Giant Poster made of titanium dioxide decomposes as many pollutants as seven trees. The PVC-free Giant Poster made from recycled materials saves 69 percent CO₂ compared to the standard material.
“The Green creates a green framework for brands. The Vertical Garden® attracts attention and positive associations - maximum brand awareness guaranteed. The combination of Green Line material, air-purifying The Pure coating and the always green city garden make the location a sustainable highlight of our portfolio,” says Katrin A. Robertson, CEO of blowUP media.
GASAG AG is the first client to use The Green to draw attention to its sustainable products. The Berlin energy service provider has set itself the goal of offering all tariffs and services exclusively in a climate-neutral manner by 2040.
