Nationwide outdoor advertising campaign begins on 1 February
The Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) will launch a nationwide outdoor advertising campaign to promote the Wahl-O-Mat in the lead-up to the federal elections on 23 February 2025. The broad-based campaign aims to increase the use of the well-known election information tool, “Wahl-O-Mat”. Ströer is supporting this initiative with a wide range of advertising media. The campaign will feature on various digital and analogue platforms, including Deutsche Bahn trains, large-format billboards mega lights and public video screens.
“As a media company, we see it as our responsibility to create spaces for democracy and promote political participation. The Wahl-O-Mat is a vital tool for political education and informed decision-making. With our wide-reaching support, we aim to help ensure that as many citizens as possible take advantage of this tool and participate in the Bundestag elections in a well-informed manner,” said Alexander Stotz, CEO of Ströer Media Deutschland GmbH.
The campaign will run nationwide for three weeks, ending on 21 February. It specifically targets young and undecided voters, encouraging them to engage with the positions of the parties running in the election. Ströer is thus continuing its long-standing commitment to political education and the promotion of democracy. The company previously supported a similar campaign for the 2024 European elections, which resulted in record usage of the Wahl-O-Mat. The Wahl-O-Mat for the 2025 Bundestag election will go live on 6 February. It features 38 theses on current political topics, allowing users to compare their own positions with those of the participating parties.
